Islamic Poetry
.:: I am a Muslim, but Only by Name ::.
I am a Muslim, but only by name
When it comes to practicing, what a shame!
I go to friends and relatives in suit and tie
...It's alright if I occasionally lie.
Yes I practice, BUT when it suits me
Or more to the point, when it pleases society.
If I show my ankles, they'll point and laugh
They'll think it's too short and reckon I'm daft.
If I trim my moustache and grow the beard
They'll reckon I'm a fanatic or something weird.
If I wear the sunnah I'll get great reward
But the Kuffaar will look down on me, that I can't afford.
Yes I'm a Muslim, but only by name.
I make excuses which I admit are rather lame.
Yes I'm a sane man and I'm on the right track
Who am I kidding, I feel like a right jack!
To hide my inferiority complex I protest it's unimportant
Though my heart screams to tell me I'm a blatant fraudulent
The best thing is no-one can hear what's going on inside
People think I've got it made and with my life I'm satisfied.
But I'm afraid this is a fable and it's a pure deception
I have no peace of mind but this I daren't even mention.
If I remain ignorant it's OK, 'cos then I don't have to practice
Yes I'm conniving and these are baseless evil tactics.
But I read the Kalima and I think I have Imaan
I can't help my attitude - I was placed in a Kufrstaan.
Yes I'm a Muslim, but only by name
And with my precious life I'm playing a foolish disastrous game!

.:: Sins Of The Tongue ::.
You think its cool to be a clown
And with the girls/ guys you fool around
Without a thought for your Lord
The mouth opens, tongue like a sword
With a few fast words
You cut to pieces those silly 'nerds'
They stand stunned and humiliated
In their hearts they are disgusted
While you laugh at them aloud
Standing with your friends all proud
O fellow Muslim, be careful of what you say
For soon will come Judgement day
Those whom you did wrong
Will come to Allah along
Justice they will seek
That day you will be the geek
From your good deeds they will transfer
And when you have no more left to give another
Then upon you will be placed their sins
Soon after your eternal life begins
To hellfire you will be shown
And deep inside you will be thrown
O Muslim,
Change now whilst you have the chance and time
Resolve to commit not with your tongue this crime!

..:: Who is the Greatest of Mankind? ::..
Who is the greatest of mankind?
The finest creation with the most excellent mind
The one who conveyed justice, peace and understanding
In a land with nothing outstanding
In a land full of idolatry, fornication and murder
Only one man could prove this would go no further
Sent with a message so true and pure
He possessed the knowledge which was a cure
A cure to the diseases that kills everybody’s core
The diseases of ignorance, arrogance and more
A person who never uttered a lie and was recognized as a truthful man
Where neighbors began accusing him of lying again and again
He was attacked physically and was extremely defamed
Harming the best of creation yet they did not feel ashamed
O praised one; it is not you who they do not like
It’s the beautiful message which they try to strik
So stay strong and tall
For you are the best of them all
The reassuring words gave him strength to continue on with his day
One by one, his people started converting to the right way
Until everyone around the land submitted
Submitted and repented for all the sins they committed
With just his beautiful character and amazing smile
Others would love and follow him without hesitating a while
The only man who united all in great waves
United the rich with the poor, the kings to the slaves
He brought happiness to the land until his heart beat its last
This was a death that no one will ever let pass
The earth was flooded with tears of people who dislike liked him before
And now there was no other man they loved more
Who is the greatest of mankind?
The finest creation with the most excellent mind
He is the praised one, the kind one, the beautiful one
The prophet and messenger of Al-Wahid, The One
His name is Muhammad Ibn Abdullah(s.a.w)!
May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him!

::LYRICS :: :: Like The Strong Wind ::
It blew like the strong wind;
It burst like a bright flame;
It became like a youth in its determination;
It flew like a hawk, with pride;
Welcome, my caravan;
My caravan of wisdom;
O generation of the future, let’s go;
Let’s exert ourselves and work hard;
Let’s always rise to the top;
And never accept to be less than the best;
My friends, let’s go about;
And learn different fields of knowledge;
Let’s excel in five or six;
And help a brother or sister;
Leave your laziness and slumber;
The lazy person has never succeeded;
And stop criticizing and blaming;
As Allah is the Helper of people;
Revive the glory of this Ummah;
When it was at its peak;
And brush this dark cloud away from it;
With your high aspirations…

One of the Names of Allâh (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala)
One of the Names of Allâh (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) is AL-HALÎM:
The Forbearing. Al-Sa’di said in his Tafseer (19):
“AL-HALÎM
is the One Who keeps bestowing blessings, both visible and hidden, on His creation, even though they disobey Him and make many mistakes. So He forgives and does not give the sinners the punishment they deserve; He encourages them to repent and gives them time to turn to Him.”- SubhanAllah!

Aayat of the DayAllah, the Exalted, says: "Say: `Are those who know equal to those who know not?' It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e., get a lesson from Allah's Signs and Verses).'' (39:9) Al Quran
"To each of you Allah has prescribed a Law and a Way. If Allah would have willed, He would have made you a single nation. But His purpose is to test you in what He has given each of you, so strive in the pursuit of virtue, and know that you will all return to Allah [in the Hereafter], and He will resolve all the matters in which you disagree."[Quran 5:48]
Aayat of the Day
"O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allâh, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allâh is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to g...ive it, verily, Allâh is Ever Well¬Acquainted with what you do". (Quran, 4:135)
Aayat of the Day
“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?” [Al-Qur’aan 21:30]
Aayat of the Day
"The believers are only those who, when Allâh is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur'ân) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone); Who perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and spend out of that We have provided them." (The Qur'an 8:2-3)
Allah, the Exalted, says:

Aayat of the Day
Allah orders you all to hand back trusts to their owners, and when you judge between people you judge with justice. Indeed, the best is the exhortation with which Allah exhorts you. Allah is the Hearer, the Seer. "Ayat 58,Surah4,Al-Nisa"
Aayat of the DayAnd remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful. (The Qur'an 7:205)

And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow." Except (with the saying), "If Allâh will!" And remember your Lord when you forget and say: "It may be that my Lord guides me unto a nearer way of truth than this." (The Qur'an 18:23-24)
"Not equal are the owners of the Fire and the owners of the Garden. The owners of the Garden, they are the victorious." [59:20]
Allah, the Exalted, says: "As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely, guide them to Our paths (i.e., Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (gooddoers)". (29:69) Al Quran
"Verily, Allâh knows those who believe, and verily, He knows the hypocrites [i.e. Allâh will TEST the people with good and hard days to discriminate the good from the wicked although Allâh knows all that before putting them to test)]." (The Qur'an: 29.11)
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea (dangers like storms), when you call upon Him in humility and in secret (saying): If He (Allâh) only saves us from this (danger), we shall truly be grateful." Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Allâh rescues you from this and from all (other) distres...ses, and yet you worship others besides Allâh." [QS 6:63-64]
Allah, the Exalted, says: "O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds)". (9:119) Al Quran
"They (the disbelievers and the hypocrites) want to extinguish Allah's Light (with which Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it)." (9:32)
"Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be TESTED" (The Qur'an 29:2)
Aayat of the Day "Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may TEST them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds. [i.e.those who do good deeds in the most perfect manner, that means to do them (deeds) totally for Allâh's sake and in accordance to the legal ways of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi WaSallam)]." (The Qur'an 18:7)
Aayat of the Day By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),-" [24:37, Quran
Aayat of the Day"O you who believe! Take care of your ownselves, If you follow the (right) guidance (and enjoin what is right Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do) and forbid what is wrong (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden) no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allâh, then He will inform you about (all) that which you used to do." (Qur'an 5:105)
Aayat of the Day
(The bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islam),' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. Aayat of the Day
"Verily, those who give Bai'ah (pledge) to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) they are giving Bai'ah (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks it only to his own harm; and whosoever fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward." (Surat Al-Fath: Ayat 10)
A beautiful lesson from the Qur'an;
"When the human being is affected by hardship, he starts to pray while lying on his side, sitting or standing, but when We relieve him from hardship, he starts to act as though he had never prayed to Us to save him from the misfortune. This is how transgressors' deeds are made attractive to them." [The Holy Qur'an Chapter 10 Verse 12]

The Qur'an; Surah Al-Zalzala 99:1-8(English Translation)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake. (1)
And when the earth throws out its burdens, (2)
And man will say: "What is the matter with it?" (3)
That Day it will declare its information (about all that happened over it of good or evil). (4)
Because your Lord will inspire it. (5)
That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. (6)
So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (7)
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (8)

"Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower," [3:8]. [Ameen]. Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana milladunka rahmah innaka antal Wahhab.
For the many sins we had fallen into in the past, let's take some time out now to sincerely repent to Allaah. "Astaghfirullah"-I seek the forgiveness of Allaah.
Make the intention right now that you want to change for Allaah's pleasure. Death is lingering at our doorstep, we are closer to our death than we were just 1 hour ago. If you are thinking of 'changing' tomorrow, then just know that tomorrow may never come.
